I Feel Very Happy, and Our Season Has Not Been Good

Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola appeared in a press statement after the victory over Aston Villa 2-1 in the 34th round of the Premier League.

The coach said in his remarks: “I feel very happy, we have been in the top four in the last five matches, and we are still among the teams competing for qualification to the Champions League.”

He added: “Aston Villa fights until the last player, and they are one of the top teams in Europe. We delivered an impressive performance, and we were firm in our tackles, and the back four was truly amazing.”

He emphasized: “Football is based on emotions, both for the fans and the players. There is great pressure on the club to reach the Champions League, and the players showed great character, and we are very grateful for that.”

He continued: “Jeremy Doku had a brilliant movement; he has the ability to make a difference thanks to his speed, and the players were in the right place inside the penalty area. Football, by its nature, requires you to live with moments of frustration.”

He added: “The performance was excellent, and we succeeded in delivering what was asked of us, the season has not been good. The reality is that what gives us a sense of satisfaction is the Premier League, but such things happen; some seasons are inherently bad.”

He concluded: “The level of teams in the Premier League is, without a doubt, exceptional.”
