Jesus said during his press conference on Thursday: “When we face teams at the Asian championship level, we must play at our best because the levels of the teams are close.”
He added: “All teams have equal chances, and there is no team more favored to win the title; Al Hilal has previously won the title in multiple editions.”
He continued: “It is a great honor for us to have the team among the top 8 teams in Asia; last season we won everything except this championship. The match is difficult, but step by step we will strive to win the title.”
He concluded: “The tournament’s top scorer belongs to the Guangzhou team, and their team has good Brazilian players I know, so the match will be tough. Our goal tomorrow is to win and reach the furthest point in the tournament.”
He added: “There are matters that cannot be linked to the tournament we will play; all our thoughts are on tomorrow’s match, and we can face the match at the highest level of Al Hilal. We are confident in ourselves, and the title is a demand for us.”
He finished: “Last season, I achieved all the championships except the Asian one, and we want to achieve it strongly this season. Guangzhou is a strong team collectively and has an outstanding striker, and we are fully prepared for the match.”
