A Spanish media report stated that FC Barcelona is planning to enhance and reinforce its attacking line in the upcoming transfer market.
The Spanish newspaper “Marca” mentioned that Barcelona is planning to take serious steps to sign Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez.
The source added that Barcelona believes Alvarez is the right person to succeed Robert Lewandowski in the long term.
Lewandowski has a contract with Barcelona until the summer of 2026.
Atletico Madrid had signed Alvarez last summer from Manchester City, and it will be difficult to part with him this summer.
