Chelsea Competes with Real Madrid for Huysin

Chelsea has entered the race to sign Spanish defender Dejan Huysin, a player from Bournemouth, amid significant interest from Real Madrid, according to the Spanish newspaper ‘AS’.

Chelsea is keen to finalize the deal before June 14, in order to register the player in the squad for the Club World Cup, especially since coach Enzo Maresca wants to bring Huysin in early to integrate him quickly with the team.

According to reports, the London club is ready to activate the release clause in the contract of the 20-year-old player, which amounts to 60 million euros, to cut off Real Madrid and other interested clubs, such as Liverpool and Arsenal.

On the other hand, the Spanish Football Federation has expressed concern over Huysin’s transfer at this time, as it wants him to participate with the Spain U21 national team instead of competing in the Club World Cup.

Huysin is considered one of the most promising defensive talents in the English Premier League, having delivered impressive performances during his loan period at Bournemouth, making him a target for several top European clubs.
