Manchester United is preparing to strengthen its midfield during the summer transfer window, having set their sights on Atalanta’s Brazilian star Ederson as a primary target, especially with the duo of Christian Eriksen and Casemiro nearing exits from Old Trafford.
According to reports from the newspaper ‘AS’, Atalanta has set the player’s price at £63 million, benefiting from his contract running until the summer of 2027. Ederson is considered one of the best midfielders in Serie A this season, attracting interest from major clubs like Liverpool and Tottenham, but Manchester United appears to be the most serious.
Ruben Amorim, the manager of the Red Devils, hopes to sign Ederson to provide an ideal replacement for Casemiro, thanks to his ability to break up play and make attacking movements from deep.
It is noted that Ederson has previously expressed his desire to experience the English league, despite his current commitment to Atalanta.
