Ahmed Hossam Mido, the former Zamalek star, praised the performance of Roger Ibanez, Al Ahly’s defender, against Al Hilal in yesterday’s AFC Champions League semi-final match.
Al Ahly achieved a victory over Al Hilal with a score of 3-1.
Mido stated in television remarks: “Ibanez was the man of the match, as he contributed to the first goal from the start, in addition to his defensive superiority, as he managed to keep Mitrovic – the striker of Al Hilal – in his pocket.”
He added: “Ibanez played a great match with calculated offensive momentum, without recklessness, unlike Koulibaly, for example, who cost Al Hilal his efforts after being sent off.”
Mido also confirmed during his remarks that Ibanez is performing his role perfectly.
