The ‘Filtering’ of Al-Hilal Leads to the Exit of Five Stars After Asian Exit

The unexpected defeat that Al-Hilal suffered against Al-Ahli 1-3 in the semi-finals of the AFC Champions League has sparked a state of controversy within the club, threatening the stability of the team and putting some stars in the danger zone.

The harsh defeat did not stop there, but it prompted Al-Hilal legend Sami Al-Jaber to express his deep sadness and call on the club’s management to part ways with five foreign players, expressing his reservations about their performance levels. These statements coincided with hints from the club’s president Fahd bin Nafel about the possibility of his departure, increasing speculation about an expected ‘filtering’.

Among the names that may be affected in the future, coach Jorge Jesus is at the forefront, as he has come under sharp criticism, especially from Al-Qahtani. Despite his insistence on his contract, reports indicate the possibility of his departure if the performance continues to decline, with alternatives like De Zerbi or Silva being considered.

As for Senegalese defender Kalidou Koulibaly, his future with Al-Hilal has become uncertain after a decline in his performance and criticism from Al-Qahtani. Although his contract extends until 2026, the club may consider releasing him before the Club World Cup if the management decides to make changes in defense.

On the other hand, defender Ali Al-Bulayhi seems to be safer after renewing his contract with the club until 2027, making him less likely to leave in the upcoming ‘filtering’. Nevertheless, the overall decline in team performance places everyone under responsibility.

Brazilian Malcom, who has not performed at the expected level this season, is also facing sharp criticism regarding his performance in crucial matches, which may open the door for his departure if Al-Hilal decides to adjust their attack.

Finally, it seems that Hamad Al-Yami is on his way out after a lack of participation this season. With his contract ending next June, a move to another club may be the best step for him.
