Manchester City Prepares for Kevin De Bruyne’s Farewell Ceremony

British journalist Ben Jacobs announced that Manchester City will hold an official farewell ceremony for Belgian star Kevin De Bruyne during the team’s match against Bournemouth on May 20 at the Etihad Stadium.

Jacobs mentioned on his account on the platform ‘X’ that the ceremony will include a presentation after the match, during which De Bruyne will deliver a farewell speech to the City fans, in an emotional scene that concludes his long career with the club.

Jacobs pointed out that De Bruyne’s potential participation with Manchester City in the 2025 Club World Cup remains uncertain.

This would require a short-term extension of his contract, which expires in June 2025, meaning that the player would be free to sign with any club without a fee starting next summer.
