Agreement Loses Striker João Costa Due to Injury

The Al-Ettifaq team is facing a severe attacking dilemma after their winger João Costa suffered a serious injury that officially ended his season, exacerbating the team’s troubles in the front line.

The club announced in an official statement on Saturday that Costa is suffering from a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his knee, an injury that will keep him off the field for a long time, representing a significant technical loss.

This injury comes at a difficult time, as the team is also missing the efforts of striker Moussa Dembélé, who has been absent for months due to an Achilles tendon injury, leaving the attack visibly weakened.

National coach Saad Al-Shehri will be forced to rely on attacking substitutes like Abdullah Radeef and Karl Toko Ekambi in an attempt to compensate for the significant absences until the end of the season.

Al-Ettifaq occupies the seventh position in the Saudi Roshan League standings with 43 points and is preparing to face Al-Khulood next Saturday in the thirty-first round of the league.
