Enzo Marisca Expresses Joy After Chelsea’s Victory Over Liverpool

Marisca said: “First of all, I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to the family of journalist Paul Lagan, who passed away this week. In moments like these, we realize that there are things in life that are much more important than football.”
Marisca spoke about the brilliance of Cole Palmer, who scored a penalty in stoppage time: “Perhaps from the outside, people think he has returned to his level, but we see him daily in training; he is always like that, scoring goals, enjoying training, and loving to play.”
He continued discussing the return of Romeo Lavia, who received a great ovation from the fans: “Having Romeo makes us a better team; unfortunately, he has been out for a long time due to injury, and he is one of several important players who have been absent, like Fofana and Nicolas Jackson.”
He added: “Honestly, I think Liverpool deserved to win the league because they have been the most consistent and had their key players available throughout the season, which has not been the case for us and most teams.”
He continued: “Today, we did not plan for deep defending; we wanted to press high, but against a team like Liverpool, sometimes you are forced to drop back, and the players handled it excellently.”
He confirmed: “We will finish the season one match at a time, and the performance today was fantastic from the players, especially in terms of their great effort.”
He noted: “We have gone through moments of ups and downs throughout the season, but I am completely satisfied with the players’ commitment and their continuous attempts to give their best.”
Regarding Palmer’s future, he said: “Palmer is happy because he scored and because we won, but I haven’t seen him different from what he was months ago; he scored 14 goals in 20 matches, but he went through a goal drought.”
He concluded his statements by saying: “We have 3 league matches and a European match on Thursday; we hope he will help us until the end, and I trust that he will.”
