The Algerian Riyad Mahrez, star of Al-Ahli Saudi Club, sent a touching message to Saad Al-Lazeez, Vice President of the Professional League Association and former head of the talent acquisition program at the Saudi Ministry of Sports.
Al-Ahli Saudi Club successfully captured the title of the AFC Champions League for the elite after defeating Kawasaki Frontale from Japan with a score of 2-0 in the final match on Saturday.
After the match, Saad Al-Lazeez posted a congratulatory message to Al-Ahli on his account on the platform “X”, stating: “I congratulate everyone on this Saudi achievement, Al-Ahli is the champion of the AFC Champions League for the elite 2025 after a heroic performance and an unbeaten record, and thank you to everyone who supported and stood by us.”
Mahrez responded, saying: “Congratulations my brother, this cup is for you too, thank you for the support and the work accomplished in the past years.”
