Ranieri: We Must Finish the Season Without Regret, and I’m Happy with Dovbik’s Performance

Claudio Ranieri, the head coach of AS Roma, expressed his happiness with his players’ performance after winning against Fiorentina with a score of 1-0 in the match held as part of the 35th round of the Italian league.

Ranieri said: “The euro I bet on qualifying for the Champions League? It’s still in my pocket; I haven’t taken it out yet.”

He continued talking about the team’s striker Artem Dovbik, saying: “He is performing well. If you look at the number of goals he has scored and the points he has given us, you will know his value. He has not yet shown all his potential; he is a shy person and doesn’t talk much, but he has recently started to smile, and this is an important development. Do you remember how he didn’t celebrate goals? Watch him today.”

Regarding the end of the season, Ranieri said: “I ask the players to finish the season without regret; we want to go to the beach this summer satisfied. Today, we played against a team with great technical abilities, and we had a very good match despite the struggles. When I ask for performance from the players, they always respond.”

About his feelings as the end of his experience with the Wolves approaches, Ranieri stated: “Do I feel nostalgic? I am not thinking about that right now; my focus is entirely on the match against Atalanta. Playing my last match at the Olimpico will be an emotional moment for me.”

He also confirmed that he would not watch the Bologna vs. Juventus match despite its impact on Roma’s standings, saying: “I will have dinner calmly; I won’t watch the match.”

Ranieri concluded his statements by praising player Eduardo Boff, saying: “He deserved what he earned today, and I will talk to him in the coming days.”
