A Major Arab Team Competes with Al-Hilal for Victor Osimhen’s Signature

Italian media reports have revealed that Saudi club Al-Hilal and Emirati counterpart Al-Ain are studying the activation of the release clause in the contract of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, who is currently on loan from Napoli to Turkish club Galatasaray.

The newspaper “Repubblica” reported that the release clause is valued at 75 million euros, which is only available to clubs outside of Italy, giving Arab clubs an advantage over Manchester United and Chelsea, while Juventus must pay a higher amount.

Al-Hilal and Al-Ain will benefit from an early transfer window designated for clubs participating in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, which gives them an edge to move quickly before major European clubs enter negotiations.

Osimhen is expected to make his decision in the coming weeks, as he considers embarking on a new experience in the Middle East, or waiting for a strong offer from a European club competing for major titles.

Osimhen had an amazing season with Galatasaray, scoring 33 goals in 37 matches, including 24 goals in the Turkish league, topping the scoring chart and confirming his worth as a top-class striker.

Osimhen’s brilliance included scoring his first “hat-trick” with Galatasaray during a big win against Antalyaspor, surpassing his previous scoring record with Napoli, which stood at 31 goals in the 2022-2023 season.
