Dembélé Shines and Matches Mbappé’s Historic Record in the Champions League

The French star Ousmane Dembélé continues to impress with Paris Saint-Germain, having scored an early goal against Arsenal during the match currently taking place at the Emirates Stadium in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-finals for the 2024/2025 season.

Dembélé’s goal came after just 3 minutes and 15 seconds, making it the fastest goal scored against Arsenal in the Champions League since Edinson Cavani’s goal in September 2016, according to the statistics network “Opta”.

The French newspaper “L’Équipe” reported that Dembélé has contributed to 11 goals this season in the European competition, scoring 8 goals and providing 3 assists, matching the record for the highest goal contribution in a single edition of the Champions League wearing the Paris jersey, a record previously held by Kylian Mbappé in the 2020/2021 season.

With this outstanding performance, Dembélé continues to affirm his value as a key player in Paris Saint-Germain’s European campaign this season.
