Liverpool is preparing to enter negotiations to sign Andrea Cambiaso, the Juventus full-back, during the upcoming summer transfer window, amid the impending departure of Alexander Arnold as his contract ends at the conclusion of this season.
According to ‘CaughtOffside’, both Liverpool and Manchester City are monitoring the 25-year-old player, who could be available for around 45 million euros, following his impressive performance this season with the Old Lady in Serie A.
Cambiaso is adept at playing both right and left back, which provides Dutch coach Arne Slot with additional tactical flexibility, especially given Andrew Robertson’s declining form and the nearing end of Arnold’s tenure with the team.
A move to Liverpool represents a step up for Cambiaso, especially with the Reds recently crowned Premier League champions and preparing to compete strongly in the Champions League next season.
