The Spanish club Barcelona announced, through its official account on the ‘X’ platform, the details of the injury suffered by French defender Jules Koundé during the match against Inter Milan in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-finals, which ended in a 3-3 draw at the Montjuïc Stadium.
Koundé left the pitch in the 42nd minute of the first half after suffering a muscle injury, raising concerns among the Catalan fans.
The official statement published by Barcelona stated: “Medical tests conducted on Jules Koundé this morning showed that he is suffering from an injury to the distal part of the hamstring muscle in his left thigh, and the return date will be determined based on the progress of his condition.”
