Impactful Absences Disrupt Al-Shabab’s Plans Before Al-Fateh Match

In a notable tactical move, Turkish coach Fatih Terim, the head coach of Al-Shabab, decided to exclude goalkeeper Abdullah Al-Maiouf from the squad that will face Al-Fateh, scheduled for Thursday, as part of the 30th round of the Roshan Saudi League.

Al-Maiouf’s absence is not the only one in the ranks of ‘Al-Layth’, as the team has suffered a severe blow with the absence of midfielder Glenn Kamara due to a muscle injury, complicating the coach’s options in terms of defensive and offensive balance.

Additionally, the Moroccan duo Abdul Razak Hamdallah, the team’s top scorer, and his teammate Mohammed Al-Thani will be absent due to suspension penalties, further deepening the crisis of absences and leaving the team without crucial elements in a decisive match.

On the technical side, the team concluded its field preparations with a training session in which Terim focused on implementing various tactical plans, striving to compensate for the absences and prepare a lineup capable of achieving a positive result.

Al-Shabab currently sits in sixth place in the standings with 51 points, with five rounds remaining in the season, making the match against Al-Fateh pivotal in the race for the top positions and securing a spot for continental participation.
