We are very proud of what Barcelona is doing

Pep Guardiola, the head coach of Manchester City, expressed his great pride in the performance that Barcelona displayed in their match against Inter Milan in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-finals. In press statements, Guardiola confirmed that matches like these enhance the status of football and support the sports industry in general.

Guardiola said: “If you play like Barcelona, the stadiums will never be empty, and we will be able to live off this industry for a long time.”

He added: “I was surprised by the quality of the match; thanks to such matches, the stadiums will never be empty, and the football industry will continue to grow. I can only be grateful for the two semi-final matches; they were wonderful, especially yesterday’s match.”

Despite praising Barcelona, Guardiola did not overlook praising Inter Milan, as he confirmed that the Italian team showed their determination to compete for the Champions League.

He continued: “I think the players in Inter showed once again that they want the Champions League. Simone Inzaghi is an amazing coach, all four teams in the semi-finals are fantastic and deserve to be there.”
