The Reality of Jesus’ Dismissal from Al-Hilal and Appointment of a New Coach

In a surprising move, the management of Al-Hilal Saudi Club decided to dismiss Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus after exiting the semi-finals of the AFC Champions League against Al-Ahli. The dismissal decision came after an emergency meeting held by the management on Wednesday evening, where the matter was finalized.

The decision had been anticipated for two months following the team’s loss to Al-Ittihad, yet the executive director Fahd Al-Mufarrij had insisted on keeping Jesus at that time. However, with the team’s continued decline in performance and fluctuating results, the management expedited the decision.

The Al-Hilal management decided to appoint former team star Mohammed Al-Shalhub to lead the team temporarily until a new foreign coach is contracted. Sources confirmed that Al-Hilal is considering several prominent names for this position.

Among the coaches being discussed to take over Al-Hilal’s training are Brazilian Tite, Italian Carlo Ancelotti, and Italian Simone Inzaghi. Al-Hilal is looking for a world-class coach to steer the team back on the right track and achieve championships in the upcoming period.

This decision reflects Al-Hilal’s desire to return strongly at both the local and Asian levels, hoping that the new coach will contribute to improving performance and regaining titles before the end of the season.
