Antony, who is 25 years old, has struggled to establish himself at Manchester United after moving from Ajax, before being loaned to Real Betis last January, where he regained his form and became a key player in the Spanish club’s lineup.
Reports indicate that Atletico Madrid has inquired about the possibility of signing the player, in a deal that could range between 40 to 50 million euros, an amount that is considered beyond the financial capabilities of Real Betis, which is also keen on retaining the Brazilian star.
For their part, Spanish football experts believe that La Liga suits Antony’s style of play, and that leaving Manchester United may be the best option for both parties given his difficulties in adapting to the English league.
