Kawasaki Fifth Japanese in the Asian Final

Kawasaki has joined the giants of Japan who have reached the AFC Champions League final, as they meet Al-Ahli Saudi tomorrow, Saturday, in Jeddah.

Kawasaki will compete in the final match of the current edition of the AFC Champions League against Al-Ahli Saudi at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah.

Kawasaki is the fifth Japanese team to reach the Asian championship final after Urawa Red Diamonds, Gamba Osaka, Kashima Antlers, and Yokohama Marinos.

Kawasaki aims to join the Japanese teams that have won the Asian title after Urawa, which has won the championship three times in 2007, 2017, and 2022.

Gamba won the title in 2008, and Kashima Antlers in 2018, while Yokohama finished as runners-up in the last edition after losing the final to Al-Ain from the UAE.

It is noteworthy that Kawasaki reached the final of the AFC Champions League 2025 after defeating Al-Nassr Saudi 3-2 in the semi-finals.
