I Felt the Pain of Losing the League Deep Inside, and Liverpool Deserves the Title

Mikel Arteta, the head coach of Arsenal, expressed his deep disappointment after Liverpool officially won the Premier League title, affirming that his team will continue to fight until the last moment of the season.

He added: “It is never easy to say it should have been Arsenal’s year; football does not recognize assumptions. All we can do now is focus on what remains of the season.”

He continued: “We still have a lot to play for; we are competing in the Champions League and the Premier League, and our focus is entirely on delivering the best performance possible in every match.”

Regarding the chances of finishing the season in the top five, which are estimated at 99.6% according to Opta statistics, the Spanish coach commented: “The message is very clear; we have to earn the win in every match, starting with the Bournemouth game. We do not pay much attention to expectations; we focus on performance and discipline.”

He concluded: “The only thing we can control is our performance and our mental state. We did not achieve what we aspired to, but we will fight until the end.”
