The discussions continue regarding the identity of the new coach for Real Madrid, as coach Carlo Ancelotti is nearing departure from the team following the conclusion of the Spanish league matches.
The Spanish newspaper “AS” reported that there is certainty in the Real Madrid dressing room that coach Xabi Alonso will take over the team’s training next season.
The newspaper added: “There has been a lot of talk about Xabi Alonso at the training city – Valdebebas.”
Media reports have confirmed that Alonso rejects the idea of coaching the team during the Club World Cup and wants to start from scratch with the royal team after the tournament.
The club plans to appoint a temporary coach to lead the team in the tournament this summer, with prominent candidates including Santiago Solari, Álvaro Arbeloa, and Raúl González.
