Exclusion of 7 Players from Al Ahly’s Squad for the Club World Cup

Reports have revealed that Mohamed Youssef, the sports director of Al Ahly Club, has decided to exclude 7 players from the team’s list that will participate in the Club World Cup in June next year in the United States.

According to the reports, Mohamed Youssef, in coordination with Mahmoud El Khatib, the club president, and the planning committee headed by Mokhtar Mokhtar, agreed to exclude Ali Maaloul, Omar El Saai, Khaled Abdel Fattah, Yahya Atiyah Allah, Amr El Soulia, and Christo from the team list participating in the Club World Cup.

The reports clarified that Al Ahly’s management is moving towards releasing Christo after the end of his loan with Sfaxien, in addition to not activating the purchase option for Yahya Atiyah Allah from the Russian club Sochi.

The reports confirmed that Akram Tawfik will not be present in the Club World Cup list after signing with Al Shamal Qatari, while Omar El Saai will be loaned out this summer.

Sources emphasized that the exclusion of Ali Maaloul is due to technical reasons, while the exclusion of Amr El Soulia is due to the end of his contract, despite him obtaining a visa to travel to the United States.
