Arteta Reveals Reason for Loss Against Bournemouth

Arsenal’s coach Mikel Arteta appeared in a press statement after the 2-1 loss to Bournemouth in the 35th round of the Premier League.

The coach said: “We had many wide spaces and clear opportunities to score, but we did not take advantage of them. When we concede goals from set pieces, it becomes difficult for us to collect three points.”

On the reason for Bournemouth’s victory: “Because we do not finish our attacks and lose a lot of easy balls. Bournemouth runs, and in transitions, they are really great. When we were better than them, we did not kill them. We gave them hope.”

Regarding conceding goals from set pieces: “We have lost points against Crystal Palace and Fulham (due to set pieces). It’s something we need to improve.”

On whether the team has lost momentum before facing Paris Saint-Germain: “The required momentum has not been created. It has created a lot of anger, frustration, and disappointment. Let’s utilize all of that on Wednesday. That’s what we need to do.”

And about whether Timber will miss Wednesday’s match: “Yes, it seems so.”
