Media figure Ahmed Hassan revealed the reason for the exclusion of José Gomes, the coach of Al-Fateh Saudi, from taking over the position of head coach at Al Ahly Egypt.
Ahmed Hassan stated via Facebook, quoting a source inside Al Ahly: “José Gomes has been excluded from Al Ahly’s plans currently due to a penalty clause in his contract worth 6 months, in addition to his focus on the task of keeping Al-Fateh in the Saudi league.”
Al Ahly is set to face Haras El Hodood tomorrow, Sunday, in a match as part of the fourth round of the decisive phase in the Premier League.
The match will take place at 8:00 PM Cairo and Mecca time.
